Jeddah Portland Cement
Portland cement is a fine gray powder primarily composed of calcium, silicon, aluminum, and iron compounds. It is obtained by grinding a solid material called clinker, which is produced by heating a mixture of limestone, clay, and silt to extremely high temperatures.
Portland cement is classified into several types:
- Ordinary Portland Cement
- Rapid Hardening Portland Cement
- Modified Portland Cement
- White Portland Cement
- Sulfate-Resistant Portland Cement.
Portland cement is the primary component in concrete and many other construction materials. It is known for its ability to harden and bind when mixed with water, making it an essential element in building structures such as buildings, bridges, roads, and more.
