Abha Portland Cement
Portland cement is a widely used building material made from a mixture of raw materials such as limestone and clay, heated in special kilns to produce clinker, which is then ground with gypsum to create cement.
This type is characterized by its excellent mechanical properties and versatility in construction projects. It is a fine, gray powder composed primarily of calcium, silicon, aluminum, and iron compounds.
Types of Portland Cement:
- Ordinary Portland Cement (OPC): The most common type, used in most construction applications.
- Sulfate-Resistant Portland Cement: Ideal for environments with high salt content.
- Low-Heat Portland Cement: Emits less heat during hardening, suitable for hot climates or large structures.
- White Portland Cement: Used for decorative and finishing works.
Abha Portland Cement should be stored in sealed bags on wooden pallets raised off the ground. Keep it in cement silos under moderate, dry, safe, and stable climatic conditions.
