Najran Sulfate-Resistant Cement
Sulphate-Resistant Cement is a type of Portland cement with a tricalcium aluminate content of less than 5% and reduced levels of calcium oxide, silicon, and other minerals (less than 25%). This composition minimizes the formation of sulphate salts, thereby reducing the risk of sulphate attacks on concrete.
Advantages of Sulphate-Resistant Cement:
- Maintains the strength and durability of concrete across a wide range of construction projects.
- Provides maximum resistance to chloride ions, reducing the risk of corrosion in reinforced steel.
- Enables the use of concrete in previously high-risk areas, such as marine structures.
Sulphate-resistant cement is specifically designed to withstand the adverse effects of sulphates found in soil or groundwater. This type of cement is the ideal choice for projects exposed to chemically aggressive environments, offering superior protection for concrete structures against corrosion and deterioration.
